This is an official announcement about a downtime on a server 206.212.247.136!
We have experienced a downtime (it has begun around 5 am EST on January 24, 2011) on one of our machines. It was caused by a software which prevented the OS to run properly and blocked the normal work of a number of applications on the server.
The issue is serious and we have to do a lot of work on the server, including on the Operating System (OS) level. We have managed to return the HTTP service online around 6.25 am EST, but the overall performance or the server is not good enough. Some of the services might not work properly within the next 6 - 10 hours. Please accept our apology for the downtime!
We know that it is very discouraging for customers hosted on this server to have a website down for more than an 1 hour. It doesn't help a lot if we say that this is the first major downtime on a Host Color server for more than 6 years.
We appreciate your patience a lot. Unfortunately such things happen and downtime is not inevitable! We care about our customers and that's why we are adding 1 Free service month to all affected Shared Hosting accounts.
We are working to return the machine and all the services back to normal and will notify your about the progress we make!
